Whisper Worshipping

One of my favorite movies is the Horse Whisperer. I think Robert Redford had something to do with that; however, I do believe that all mammals have an internal dialogue going on. Unfortunately for humanhood it's far more complicated. So I think. However, as I've examined my own life, I know for too long I worshipped inner conversations, whispers that were dangerous and worrisome to my destiny.  

What thoughts have you spent time on today?

What inner conversations have you had with yourself and come to believe they were true? And who told you that you were naked Adam? Why have you had those GUILT thoughts about your condition? We all have too many daily conversations that are harmful to our body, soul, and spirit. I've previosuly called them Killer Conversations

They do kill!

When I say WORSHIP, I am talking about those sites that we visit all too frequently. You know, those mansions in the sky that Christians long to enter. Little are they aware that they are living in those mansions now. Our thoughts become our habitation(s). Too often our earthly garments, our bodies reflect those inner conversations, those whispers that we bow down to and worship.

The house in which we now reside as an earthly community has a stench of death about it.

I believe that we will be facing some serious problems over the next few years (can you say 2012?) that will cause many to accpt a vagabond lifestyle, living on the run, in tents, and in spiritual poverty. But we do have choices. We make them every day. How will you choose?

What are you NOW WORSHIPPING (as a thought)?

Did you choose to believe that all the power in the world resides within you even if you can't pull the strings like you'd like? Did you believe those fleeting thoughts of failure, inadequacy, and depression about the future (be it tomorrow or next year)? If you want to learn more about how to work those stroings of life and pwoer you'll need to get quiet more often each day. The whispers can't be heard over all the TALK and NOISE of our current world.   :-)
